Lorensen Auto Group is proud to launch its Drive Hope campaign throughout October in support of Susan G. Komen® and its mission to end breast cancer deaths. All five Lorensen Auto Group dealerships across Connecticut pledge to donate a portion of profits from every vehicle sold during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Participating dealerships include Acura of Avon, Acura of Milford, Honda of Watertown, Westbrook Honda, and Westbrook Toyota

The initiative builds on Lorensen Auto Group’s longstanding partnership with Susan G. Komen®, to which the auto group has contributed $270,000 to date through its signature Good Deal. Good Cause. program. The program combines employee-level pricing on new vehicles with a commitment to community giving, directing a portion of net profits to local charitable organizations.

Susan G. Komen® New England Executive Director Nicole Marohn recently spoke with Lorensen Auto Group about the organization’s work and the impact partnerships like this can have on local communities. “Komen prides itself on its 360 approach,” said Marohn. “We have research, patient care, advocacy and community. We can’t do all that work without financial support from local businesses like Lorensen Auto Group.”

Susan G. Komen® currently supports approximately $2 million in breast cancer research at Yale University in Connecticut. The organization also serves approximately 46,000 Connecticut residents annually through its virtual Patient Care Center, oAering financial assistance, patient navigation, a helpline, and screening and diagnostic support.
